Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange is responsible for supporting and developing research, knowledge transfer and impact activities. The Directorate Leadership Team include the Director of RIKE, Associate Directors for the three Pillars (Development, Operations and Business & Knowledge Exchange) as well as the Administrative support which is made up of the Admin Manager and PA / Directorate Administrator.

Amanda Selvaratnam |
Responsible for operational delivery of enterprise support via six teams: Commercialisation, Business Development. Continuing Professional Development and Consultancy, Knowledge Exchange Enhancement, The York Policy Engine and Economic Development. Taking a leading role in Professional Services for industrial engagement and commercialisation through the Building Industry Engagement and Impact initiative. Responsible for the institutions Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) and Concordat (KEC) and the Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF). Shared responsibility for strategic direction of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange, to facilitate the University's Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange endeavours. Collective responsibility with other Heads of Professional Services to deliver the University's administrative needs. |

Shared responsibility for strategic direction of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange, to facilitate the University's Research endeavours. Collective responsibility with other Heads of Professional Services to deliver the University's administrative needs. Leadership, development and strategic direction of Research Innovation and Knowledge Exchange and its teams. Provision of a full range of central services to the University’s strategies for Research, and delivery of Research Impact through support for Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise. Contribution to development of relevant University Strategies. |
VACANCY Associate Director, Development |
Responsible for overall leadership of RIKE's Research & Innovation Development Team, and acts as a lead in the University for strategic developments and initiatives in the areas of Research & Innovation. Identifying and supporting the development and implementation of funding strategies for cross-institutional research strengths and strategic priorities, in line with the University's Research Strategy and the Research Themes. Ensuring that compliance, both with the University’s internal policies and procedures, and with the funder's requirements, is built in to all of the major initiatives supported. |

Responsible for day to day administration and operations, supporting the wider directorate as well as the senior management team. The Human Resources contact within the Directorate, including supporting with recruitment, induction, variations in contracts, leavers and general support. Departmental Training Officer for the Directorate and Mental Health First Aider. |
Lizzi Healy |
Responsible for the diary management for the Senior Management Team, supporting day to day administration and the wider Directorate, processing invoices and expenses and reporting sickness absences, in addition to other key aspects of the day to day Directorate Administration. |
Clare Murgatroyd |
Manage, develop and implement administrative, financial and communications activities to facilitate the smooth running of projects led by the Associate Directors in the Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Directorate.
Support the implementation and management of the KE Concordat (KEC) and the reporting for the KE Framework. |
