Join our Men's Health Initiative

Posted on 14 November 2019

Statistics on men’s health indicate that men don’t readily talk about personal things and don’t utilise health professionals.

Men die younger and have the highest suicide rate.

And while men are reluctant to talk about personal things, they do like doing things - whether it's sport, building things, fixing things or taking on personal challenges.

As men meet together to focus on shared interests, relationships form and these men start to look out for each other; this provides an opportunity for men to more openly discuss both physical and mental health and therefore start to reverse these statistics.

As part of Movember we’re launching a Men’s Health Initiative, to encourage men to get together and talk about issues that affect our health and look at ways to improve it.

The initiative launches on Wednesday 27 November at 5.30pm
