Vanbrugh Piazza consultation this Friday

Posted on 9 March 2015

Share your views and ideas on how Vanbrugh Piazza could be developed.

In his final year as our Chancellor, Greg Dyke has agreed to support the redevelopment of Vanbrugh Piazza.

The Piazza is an original feature of the campus and should be a focal point for staff, students and visitors. However, it is not in good shape, and has recently become known as ‘Vanbrugh Paradise’.

The plan is to develop the Piazza during the summer, so that it can once again feature prominently on Open Days and Graduation days, and offer an attractive space for art installations, open air cinema, pop-up activities and performances. In addition to Greg’s generous donation, the project will also be supported by other benefactors and by the University.

To give all staff and students the opportunity to be involved in this wonderful project, you are invited to a drop-in consultation event:

  • Friday 13 March
    JB Morrell Library
    11am - 2pm

The event will enable you to find out more about the Vanbrugh Piazza Project and to share your views and ideas on how the Piazza could be developed.

We hope that you will be able to find some time to drop in on Friday.
