TICKET INFORMATION FOR ROSES 2015 OPENING CEREMONY

ROSES FESTIVAL

This year the Roses Opening Ceremony on Friday 24 April takes on a brand new and exciting format in the heart of York's campus and includes the Roses Festival and Friday Fight Night event.

Roses Festival is centred around an outdoor stage featuring live music from local bands and performances from our societies, as well as food vendors, an outdoor bar and funfair games.

England football manager Roy Hodgson will then officially open Roses 2015 from the outdoor stage just after 9pm, followed by fireworks over the lake as the party continues into the night!

The Roses Festival is part of the Opening Ceremony that is open to everyone, but you need to sign up for a free ticket.

FRIDAY FIGHT NIGHT

For the first time ever, boxing will feature as the showcase sport that launches the Roses weekend. Our boxers will don their gloves in front of a thousand-strong crowd, as Central Hall is transformed into a full-blown boxing arena. England football manager Roy Hodgson will then speak after the fight.

Tickets are £6.50 and include:
- Entry into the Central Hall boxing event that runs from 6-9pm
- An official #RosesAreWhite t-shirt for York supporters

Buy your tickets on the YUSU website.
