I am a qualified social worker (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW)) and Practice Educator. I have completed a Tavistock course in working therapeutically with children and studied successfully for an Open University Certificate in Management.

I am a registered social worker with broad experience of working with a range of service users within Children and Families social work. Since the 1990s I have worked in the fields of mental health, homelessness, children and families, adoption, fostering and Special Guardianship, looked after children and as a Guardian for Cafcass.

I became a qualified social worker in 1992 with a CQSW and Degree in Social Science and graduated from the University of North London. I am also a qualified practice educator and have achieved a management qualification since becoming a qualified social worker, and have also been a safeguarding trainer.

I have worked primarily in the statutory sector and throughout my career have maintained a keen interest in professional training and development, as well as working to improve the quality of service provision.
