ESRC seminar series looking at international perspectives and policy challenges

Delegates of the third ESRC International Seminar on Child Maintenance

York welcomed delegates from institutions across the UK, USA, Australia and Germany for the third Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) International Seminar on Child Maintenance on 27 June 2014.

Lovely supportive environment for early carer researchers

Event feedback

Dr Sirin Sung, Queen's  University Belfast, presented a key note on East Asian Welfare States, social change and gender. Other presentations included discussion of family change in Peru and Colombia.

The Seminar was an opportunity for PhD students and early career researchers working in the field of East Asian welfare states to present their work and obtain feedback on their ideas from the delegation. Several of our own students took up this opportunity and we welcomed presentations from across the UK.
