At this event, participants will be updated on adult safeguarding developments with a focus on ‘what works’, and will also have the opportunity to refresh their practice with an overview of recent research findings. Specific attention will be given to the different organisational models used in adult safeguarding. Practitioners will be able to consider practice and how to move from safeguarding as ‘problem finding’ to cost-effective responses.
For subscribing organisations this is an Adult Services event.
For others there is a fee of £95.
Bursaries are available for students, staff and service users, as well as for volunteers from voluntary groups, community groups and charities; please ask for details.
Hull: UK City of Culture 2017
The arts and cultural programme for the year celebrates the unique character of the city, its people, history and geography. In 2017, the programme runs from 1 Jan to 31 Dec and is split into four seasons, each with something distinctive and intriguing to say, and each created to challenge and thrill. The programme is working with the artists of Hull to celebrate the culture of the city and its place in the wider cultural offer of the North, and make Hull a cultural destination for must-see events. Young people are at the heart of the programme – it is this group who will inherit the longer-term benefits as a result of the focus around learning and participation.
