Working with Domestic Abuse; a research and practice event

The event will cover:
- How domestic abuse is dealt with in child protection processes – the implications for mothers and children
- What we know about working with men and particularly fathers on domestic abuse
- Challenges and possibilities of working in partnership with families in this area
- Working with abuse in young people’s relationships
Brid Featherstone is Professor of Social Care in the Faculty of Health and Social Care Research at the Open University.
Carlene Firmin MBE is a Research Fellow in the Institute of Applied Social Research at the University of Bedfordshire.
