Social work in the 21st Century

Friday 9 May 2014, 1.45PM

Speaker(s): Chaired by Dr. Martin Webber

This seminar is in partnership with the International Centre for Mental Health Social Research.

We are delighted to welcome the Chief Social Worker for Children, Isabelle Trowler and the Chief Social Worker for Adults, Lyn Romeo.

Delegates will have the opportunity to take part in an Open Forum session with the Chief Social Workers, as well as hearing from PhD students on forthcoming research into children and adults social work.  There will also be a discussion on social work practice in Yorkshire and Humber, with a panel of Directors of Children's and Adults Services.

For MRC Subscribers, this event applies to both children and adult subscriptions. For others there is a fee of £50.

If your local authority or employer does not subscribe please do get in touch to book a place. We also run a bursary scheme for voluntary organisations who are unable to pay full fee.

For Continuous Professional Development purposes we map our seminars against The College of Social Work's Professional Capabilities Framework and The Health and Care Professionals Council Standards of Proficiency.

You may therefore find this document helpful for your CPD recording.
