Anaïs comes from New Caledonia, a Pacific island where she graduated with a bachelor of business in 2010. She then decided to start a second undergraduate degree in England to become fluent in English. Throughout her undergraduate sociology degree, she developed a particular interest for feminist studies and went on to study at the Centre for Women’s Studies for her MA.

Anaïs is now a Ph.D student in the Department of Sociology and focuses on the social representations of suicide.

Her interests include sexual violence, death, feminist theory, postcolonial theory, queer studies, gender and sexuality.
