Kim Jamie presents at Royal Pharmaceutical Society Conference

On 8th-9th September, Kimberly Jamie was at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Conference in Birmingham presenting a poster about pharmacists' education in the field of genetics.

This was based on her PhD which looked at English pharmacists potential role in delivering geneticall-personalised medicine and the challenges that this poses.

Her poster suggested that a generational gap is emerging between younger pharmacists (where genetics is a key part of their university curriculum) and older pharmacists (who received very little genetics training).This generational gap, she argues, may lead to inconsistent care and a missed opportunity for pharmacists to broaden their practice.
