Event details

Thomas Davies (Psychology) will explore the ethical, moral, and environmental consequences of eating meat, then discuss research on the meat paradox - most people both love animals and care for the environment, but surprisingly still eat meat.

Emily Nicholls (Sociology) will then provide an overview of her research on the psychology of consuming plant-based meat substitutes.

About the speakers

Dr Thomas Davies is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of York.

Dr Emily Nicholls is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at York. Both research the moral, ethical and environmental implications of meat consumption / meat reduction.
