Parliamentary Libraries are in fact research centres, providing a wide range of policy briefings to all MPs and Peers.
The Commons Library produces a wide range of research papers and briefing notes which are available to the public. Researchers can submit their papers to the Commons Library for inclusion in briefing papers. The address is email@example.com
The Library may want to contact researchers about their work at short notice. It is useful to ensure that you can be easily found online, on a blog or through social media. It is also important that your latest research and contact details can be found. A personal website is useful to have.
This office was established in order to ensure that MPs and Members of the House of Lords have access to independent scientific advice. The office has specialists in a range of disciplines who provide advice through briefings, conferences and one to one support for parliamentarians.
POST also offer a number of fellowships for Postdoctoral students throughout the year, funded by the learned societies.
Each year the office produces are series of POSTNotes which provide a concise briefings on a range of topical issues.
