Academics are required to articulate the potential ‘impact’ that their research may have on society, culture and the economy by writing a ‘Pathway to Impact’ in grant funding applications.This course has been developed to help you make steps towards achieving research with impact.
The session provides:
Context of research with impact– including definitions and distinctions between impact summaries and ‘Pathways to Impact’
An introduction into the key elements of articulating impact through the development of a ‘Pathway to Impact’
Staff from the Research Support Office and the Research and Innovation Office will also contribute as appropriate
This course is funded through the University of York ESRC Impact Acceleration Account. Lunch will be provided.
The course is aimed at and open to University of York staff. It will be of particular interest to academic and research staff in the Faculty of Social Sciences who are in the process of developing research proposals with and expectation that these should generate maximum impact.
