The Research Centre for Social Sciences provides training for doctoral students in Social Sciences across the University. The University of York is a member of the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership, a major strategic collaboration involving Leeds, Sheffield and York, Bradford, Hull, Manchester Metropolitan and Sheffield Hallam. This is one of only fourteen centres funded by the Economic and Social Research Council to provide research training for doctoral students in the Social Sciences to the highest standards.
ReCSS houses the WRDTP at York. We are home to the MA in Social Research, a degree programme that draws on our expertise across the Social Sciences to develop world class Social Science researchers
