A day in the life of a IAP Consultant in the United Kingdom
My career goals when I graduated
Get a high environmental impact job. Have a significant impact protecting the environment as quickly as possible. Learn as much as I can and test my skills against others.
What I do
I work as an ecologist and and survey manager for ERM mainly on the HS2 project.
Skills I use and how I developed them
Communication, leadership, teamwork. And many many more skills which I learnt and developed through 3 internships and my time at the Environment Department in the University of York.
What I like most
Varied work, interesting work and changing hours. High exposure to the project. Smart people!
What surprised me most
How large the organisation is and how quickly you can learn within this organisation.
