My career goals when I graduated
To work in the filmmaking industry.
My career history
3 years as the Directors' Researcher at Bazelevs Production, Moscow. Before that various roles on film set.

Being responsible, stress resistant, diligent and creative in my research approach.

Producing For Films and TV in Moscow.
How my studies have helped my career
A lot! I believe that I got my current job because I graduated from the Uni of York.
What surprised me about my career so far
That it actually helped me find the job abroad.
Where I hope to be in 5 years
I hope to be the commercials director myself.
My advice to students considering work
Be ready to use the indirect routes, to work long hours and expect the unexpected. Also, stay open-minded and take everything with excitement and try to see the positive sides in everything. All the difficulties are temporary.
My advice about working in my industry
Be ready to not have a personal life and normal working hours, as well as to always have your mobile in your hand and eyes glued to the screen.
Other advice
Always dream for something bigger. Don't stop.

What I do
Scouting directors for the big international agencies and clients.
Looking for directors for TV and cinema commercials; contacts with the worldwide talents, directors’ agents and advertising agencies; management of projects; work with directors’ treatments and interpreting conference calls; assisting the project and bidding producers.
Skills I use and how I developed them
Research; Film and Commercials Production.
Mostly I use the knowledge of filmmaking process acquired during my student years and later at work, and the experience in research gained during my 3 previous years of work at another production company in Russia.
What I like most
Networking and contacts with creative talents form all over the globe.
What I like least
Working hours are crazy ;)
What surprised me most
The professionalism of people I work with.
