A day in the life of a Rule of Law Adviser in Afghanistan

Monitoring rule of law and human rights related developments in Afghanistan

How I looked for work

I looked for jobs through job search portals in Afghanistan. I only applied to job relevant to my background and fitting my passion and future ambitions. I started to apply for jobs three months before my graduation and I secured two offers within a month from Graduation.

How studying in the UK affected my job seeking

Employers highly value the graduates of UK Universities in Afghanistan. In addition, the graduates of the University of York have assumed some very high-ranked positions with the Government, and Civil Society Organisations in Afghanistan and they did pretty well. University of York Alumni have become Ministers, and renowned Civil Society Activists.
