A day in the life of a Vodafone Discover Programme HR and Property in the United Kingdom

July 2016 Graduate, starting Vodafone Discover Grad Scheme (HR and Property) Sep 2016.

How I looked for work

I searched for graduate schemes and jobs via Milkround, Taregt Jobs, Total Jobs and the Careers website. The best thing to do is to sign up to email alerts so you don't miss any opportunities. Also, the Careers Event was very useful - I hadn't considered applying to Vodafone until I spoke to a current grad on the scheme who loved working there!

The recruitment process

I applied online (Oct 2015) and was invited to complete shl online verbal and numerical reasoning tests within about two weeks. In early December I was invited to complete a 15 minute on-demand video interview, and then told that I would be invited to an assessment center in the new year in mid December. In late January I was given a selection of assessment center dates to choose from and, when I attended the event, the day consisted of a 1-1 hour long interview, two group exercises and a case-study presentation exercise. 10% of applicants were invited to assessment center days (around 700), and I was contacted within around a week with an offer.
