My advice to students considering work
Don't feel rushed and pressured into any job, take your time and think about what you want.
What I do
Class teacher - planning and assessing progress, healthy schools coordinator, pshe coordinator, sustainable schools coordinator.
Skills I use and how I developed them
PGCE and experience working with children.
Degree skills:
Communication skills and presentation skills have been useful.
What I like most
Working with children. Everyday is different and it's a good team work environment.
What I like least
I don't enjoy the time spent doing paper work and working at weekends planning lessons.
What would I change? Move to focus on psychology - teaching SEN and getting on a educational psychology course.
