A day in the life of a Human Capital in the United Kingdom

How I found out about the job

Recruitment agency

Courses taken since graduation

Certificate in International Business Practice

Where I hope to be in 5 years

Oliver Wyman is an international company, with offices in North America, Asia and Europe so there are opportunities all over the world.

My advice to students considering work

Get some relevant work experience over the summer, even if it's just an admin role.

What I do

Tracking consultant performance, addressing work life balance issues, and working on regional training initiatives.

Skills I use and how I developed them

Internship at a New York private equity firm.

Degree skills:
Thorough research, communication, analysis skills.

Extracurricular skills:
My internship gave me an insight into the financial services industry.

What I like most

The people, room for innovation and the informal 'small company' feel the company maintains despite its global presence.

What I like least

The admin work.

What would I change? I would have been more prepared following graduation.
