I am a script and continuity supervisor in the film and television industry.

What do you do?

In short, I make sure the actors are saying the right lines, wearing the right clothes, and going in and out of the right doors.

Reflecting upon your past employment and education, what led you to your current career choice?

A midlife crisis at age 39 inspired a career change into script supervision.

Is your current job sector different from what you thought you would enter when you graduated?

I thought I would end up as a professor of film studies, but ended up in film and television production.

Describe your most memorable day at work

So many: racing up a mountain on the back of a snowmobile, watching a motorhome explode on the moonlit beach of a remote park...

Are there any challenges associated with your job?

Long hours, unbelievably long hours.

What’s your work environment and culture like?

Always free-spirited and high-energy.

What extracurricular activities did you undertake at university and what transferable skills did you develop through these?

No extracurriculars for me.

What would you like to do next with your career?

Writing and directing.

Adaptability, resilience, creativity - you’re gonna need ‘em!
