My advice to students considering work

Start job searching early, and just apply apply apply!

What I do

I translate articles from the Greek press, conduct research on foreign press websites and write my own articles for the lifestyle section of the Cyprus Weekly English language newspaper.

Skills I use and how I developed them

Fluency in English and Greek.

Degree skills:
Conducting research and writing at a professional level.

What I like most

The laid back environment and the fact that I am building up a portfolio of articles.

What I like least

The fact that I do not have the freedom to write about whatever I choose.

What would I change? I would go back to the UK or the US for some work experience before returning to Cyprus.
