A day in the life of a Digital UX/UI Developer in the United Kingdom
My career history
Graphic designer by taught with an MA in Multimedia and MSc in Digital Media Design. After having worked as graphic designer for 8 years, I switched to Adobe applications trainer and Digital Designer for a global firm in London. Then I developed my technical skills and started taking online courses in HTML, CSS and programming languages.
My advice to students considering work
Be active and ambitious. Great things happen, outside of your comfort zone.

What I do
I currently work for HSBC Holdings plc where I create rich user experiences for public websites, internet banking and mobile (including future channels/devices) using state-of-the-art web technologies.
Skills I use and how I developed them
I'm a digital designer with a strong academic and professional creative background, with extended technical knowledge and skills in front-end development and some back-end. Expert in graphic design tools, experienced in web and digital design and very good knowledge of programming languages such as Javascript, PHP, MySQL.
What I like most
I like to be creative and ambitious and feel very proud of myself when I apply specialist knowledge I have gained in my MSc into real projects and build innovative and engaging experiences for digital users.
What I like least
When I don't feel motivated.
