The recruitment process

The recruitment process can be time-consuming and monotonous however it is absolutely worth it. Usually the process involves application questions, competency tests, interview and/or onsite graduate assessment days.

My career goals when I graduated

To get my 'foot in the door' regarding relevant experience or a entry-level / graduate position in my chosen sector.

My career history

Enrolled into a Graduate Scheme in 2015 and currently carrying out a permanent role within the same business.

What has helped my career to progress

Drive to learn more and expand my personal & professional skills. I would recommend taking any (relevant & feasible) opportunities that come your way.

How my studies have helped my career

Built my knowledge base and gave me confidence to apply my learning in the real world.

My advice to students considering work

Try to shape yourself into a well-rounded individual as well as gaining the relevant skills for your chosen area of business/expertise. Don't be afraid to say yes to opportunities which come your way; make the most of what you are offered.

Contacting me

I can endeavour to answer queries concerning research and work done in the construction sector; particularly applying environmental and sustainability principles.

What I do

My job role requires me to provide technical guidance for Building Certification scheme development and delivery.

Skills I use and how I developed them

I have accumulated various skills including technical report writing & development, management, marketing & sales, client & stakeholder communication; all through a mixture of university and the graduate scheme I enrolled on.
