After working with envionmental think tanks like SEI, Emilie realised she wanted to go back into education, and was attracted to SEI becuase of its work and world ranking. She likes the friendly environment, work bridging science and policy, and high-quality research. Her stand-out experience was learning that SEI came from one of the first environmental conferences has a lot of history.

What would you say to someone applying? "I would say definitely do it. Reach out. I think everyone's happy to respond to people, especially if there's an interested PhD student, it might be nice to have a chat and get a feel for whether or not this is the right place for you."
