Free online course: Sustainable Food Systems in South East Asia
Posted on 28 July 2016
How can food systems become more sustainable in the face of population growth, urbanization and environmental degradation?
SEI, in partnership with UNEP, International Resource Panel and 10YFP Sustainable Food Systems Programme, is launching a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on ‘Food and our Future: Sustainable Food Systems in Southeast Asia.’ It begins on 8 August 2016, is 5 weeks long and free of charge.
The course provides insights on the inter-linkages between food systems, natural resource use and environmental impacts both in Southeast Asia and globally. It aims to inspire learners to act toward creating more environmentally-sustainable and resource-smart food systems. The course features regional and global experts, is highly interactive and consists of a series of video lectures, readings, discussions and case studies.
The course is of benefit to policymakers, students, researchers and private sector actors. We’ve already got close to 3000 sign-ups but more are welcome.
