Lecture focussed on Participatory GIS Methods

In late August Steve Cinderby (Stockholm Environment Institute) was a guest teacher at the Devestu International Summer School Development hosted by the University of Turku, Finland. The theme of the school was "Development research methods in geographical context" and was attended by PhD students, academics from Turku and other guest lecturers from Roskilde  University, University of Helsinki and University of Delhi.

Steve presented an overview of participatory geographic information system methods illustrated with a case study on agriculture water management in Tanzania from the Institutes ongoing research in this area.
