The York Learning and Teaching Award (YLTA) is a nine-month programme designed to support postgraduate research students in developing skills in learning and teaching. It is accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and successful completion allows you to become an Associate Fellow of the HEA.
In order to successfully complete the programme, students must produce a portfolio which demonstrates that they have achieved the six programme learning outcomes, which are aligned to the UK professional standard framework in Higher Education. Prizes are awarded to recognise students who produce a portfolio of exceptional standard.
Congratulations to Joy Ogbemudia, Jet Sanders, Andrew Fairley, Rebecca Kitching and Li Sheng for their awards. The prizes were presented by Professor Mick Healey, Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Andrew received his prize but was not able to make the presentation.
The prizes were awarded at an evening dinner held as part of the two day event that marks the start of the programme for 2017-18.
