The Department of Psychology (University of York) offers about 35 scholarships in total for international students applying for any of our masters' programmes. The scholarships are meant to complement the funds available to the students from other sources.
The Psychology Department will offer £3000 to those international applicants who have obtained a 1st-class degree in their undergraduate studies and £1500 to those international applicants who have obtained an upper 2nd-class degree.
Awarding decisions will be made by the beginning of March 2019 on the basis of the information provided on your university application (academic performance, prior relevant experience, CV and recommendation letters).
Please, note that scholarships cannot be awarded until all requirements for entry to the Department of Psychology are satisfied, including English language proficiency. Conditional offers can be made for those applicants who are likely to obtain the required academic marks in their current degree or are waiting for their language test results.
For more information, contact our departmental postgraduate admission officer (Dr. Silvia Gennari at email@example.com).
Applications for the international scholarships have now closed.
The Department of Psychology awards one scholarship to an academically exceptional candidate who is planning to pursue a career in psychological research. The scholarship amounts to the cost of our Home/EU fees and can be awarded to a home/EU or international applicant. If you are interested in obtaining this scholarship, please, complete the application form before the 30th of April.
Awarding decisions will be made by mid-June 2019 on the basis of the information provided on your university application (academic performance, prior relevant experience, CV and recommendation letters), and if necessary, an interview.
Please, note that scholarships cannot be awarded until all requirements for entry to the Department of Psychology are satisfied. However, a conditional offer can be made if the chosen applicant is predicted to obtain a high academic mark in their current studies.
