Up Close and Personal with the Human Brain

Posted on 10 December 2012

MSc Cognitive Neuroscience students visited the Hull-York Medical School, where Professor Tim Andrews led them through a human brain dissection.

The human brain dissection session is now a regular part of the MSc course, and it means that each student gains hands-on experience with human brain anatomy in addition to MEG and fMRI as part of the taught neuroimaging modules. Students also undertake extended projects based at the York Neuroimaging Centre and often involving in-depth experience with neuroimaging and the associated advanced analytical tools.
