INREP conference to take place in York

Monday 3 October 2016, 12.00PM

The 2nd PhD conference of the Interdisciplinary Research Network for Economists and Philosophers will take place at the University of York on the 3rd and 4th of October, 2016. The aim of the conference is to merge the disciplines of Economics and Philosophy, in order to encourage alternative points of view and provoke interesting discussions. 

Topics to be covered include:

  • Risk, present bias and preference
  • Egalitarianism
  • Employment
  • Redistribution, development and compassion
  • Value
  • Collectivism, assimilation and collaboration

A poster session will also run in addition to the presentations, enabling a larger number of researchers to disseminate their work to a wider audience, on a more personal level.

There will be four distinguished guest speakers who will also present: Professor Bertil Tungodden, Professor Catriona McKinnon, Professor Mozaffar Qizilbash and Mr John Bone.
