Palaeo at the 2017 Festival of Ideas

Things and Stories: Perspectives from Philosophy, Archaeology and Poetry

Dr Penny Spikins (Archeology), Dr Paul Mills, Dr  Dorothea Debus (Philosophy) 

We will explore our theme - 'Things and Stories' - from three very different, but complimentary perspectives, namely the perspectives of philosophy, archaeology and poetry. The event will be based on a web based survey of people’s significant objects (‘York’s favourite things’); relevant contributions by the general public will be the starting point of our joint exploration of the event's theme.

Time: 7.40pm - 8.30pm

Venue: The Treehouse, Berrick Saul Building (free entry by ticket, tickets to open soon).
