‌General study skills

Academic integrity - The University's guide to help you understand what academic integrity is and how to gain the skills needed to reference and approach your assignments with confidence.  Includes guides for different styles of referencing e.g. Harvard, MLA.

Yorkshare - York University's Virtual Learning Environment.  Here you will find tutorials to help you use the computers and library at York and on avoiding plagiarism.   You may also find that individual tutors use this site to disseminate module information (if this is the case then you will be informed by the tutor).

‌Researching topics (e.g. library catalogues)

  • The British Library - Catalogue for the British Library.  Afree  mini bus service operates to Boston spa from the University every week.
  • The University Library - including access to the university's library catalogue, guides to using the library etc.  This also includes details of the University's electronic resources.
