Centre throws open the doors to learning

Students at the Centre for Lifelong Learning

The University of York’s Centre for Lifelong Learning has issued an open invitation to members of the public with a thirst for learning to find out more about its extensive range of courses.

The Centre is to hold an Open Day on Tuesday 4 September from 2-5pm at the King’s Manor, where learners will have the chance to meet tutors and staff, ask questions, and register for a place on courses which begin in early October. All the courses are open access, with no need for previous experience or qualifications.

Our courses are the ideal way to get back into learning and explore something new in a friendly, supportive atmosphere

Lesley Booth, Director of Community Relations and Lifelong Learning said: “Our 2012-13 programme is as wide as ever, with over 200 courses on offer in everything from philosophy and science to creative writing and psychology. Whether it’s a one-day Saturday school or a full year’s programme of study you’re looking for, our courses are the ideal way to get back into learning and explore something new in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.”
