The Centre for Global Health Histories and The Department of Health Sciences are delighted to present this UK premiere of '50 Años de Vergüenza,' (50 Years of Shame). Join us for a screening of the film, followed by a round table discussion with experts on Thalidomide, UK Thalidomide survivors and one of the film's creators.
50 years ago, Thalidomide slipped into the lives of thousands of families. Grünenthal is the pharmaceutical company that created and sold the drug, responsible for a story that is still largely untold. This film explores that story.
