In celebration of York’s Summer of Shakespeare, Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre and the University of York proudly present a free pre-show talk, with actor assistance, about the Shakespearean comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Talk given by University of York Shakespearean Professor Judith Buchanan, ahead of the performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre that evening.

Judith Buchanan is Professor of Film and Literature and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of York. A Shakespearean with a special interest in performance, she co-wrote and was Shakespeare advisor to the recently released British Macbeth feature film, directed by Kit Monkman. She speaks regularly to audiences in the UK and internationally.
