For 60 years, Iby Knill kept secret the fact that she had survived the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps  even from her children.

As a teenager, Iby was forced to flee her home in Czechoslovakia following the German invasion and fled to Hungary.  During the Second World War, she became a member of the Hungarian Resistance until she was captured in 1942 and placed in a series of refugee centres and camps, including the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.  Iby will speak about her life in the camp where she was imprisoned until the camp was liberated in 1945.
