Fusion energy - what have you been doing for 30 years?

Join the York Plasma Institute during British Science Week to celebrate the launch of our new podcast “A Glass of Seawater!” Each episode is a short, refreshing chat about the ins and outs of all things fusion energy research related, as seen from the point of view of the PhD students doing the work.

We will be recording an episode in front of a live audience to mark the occasion; answering the only question on anyone’s lips – ‘it’s 30 years away and always will be... isn’t it?!’ No knowledge assumed, all will be explained! We will talk through the basics and cover where the field has got to, where we’re going, and share some of the great milestones and discoveries of what has been 30 years of incredible progress! Then it’s your turn to ask the burning questions you’ve saved up all that time.

All are welcome. The recording (including Q&A) won’t be more than an hour and then we will be happy to continue the conversation at a drinks reception to follow.

To register for the event please visit our website or register direct via Eventbrite.
