Changing the face of the city: Heritage and engineering

York Society of Engineers Lecture

The York Civic Trust’s City Enhancement Programme has the objective of enhancing the public realm of the City of York  by delivering small-scale projects.   They work with others to identify and restore railings, coats of arms, public parks, statues, street furniture and other features of the public realm.  David will talk about the general work of the Trust and Nick will talk in detail about some of the interesting engineering problems and issues that they have encountered in their recent work.
