Strange bedfellows? Creativity and analysis in an age of austerity lecture

If creativity and criticism are strange bedfellows, how weird must be the partnership between science and fiction-writing? In this talk, Dr Fernyhough, will reflect on his own experiences of trying to combine the two, and consider what practitioners of the two disciplines can learn from each other. He will focus particularly on his attempt, in his new novel A Box of Birds, to trace the limits of neuroscientific framings of human experience and behaviour on the pages of the novel and beyond.
