YuStart and Entrepreneurs Society in association with Careers presents

Charles Cecil, founder of Revolution Software, Europe's leading adventure game developer, will share his experience in developing his company, and the thinking behind the critically acclaimed and commercially successful series of games Broken Sword.  And in particular how he successfully crowd funded the latest in the series Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse, achieving backing of $800,000 in one month.

There will be an opportunity for Q and A and to find out more about support for Entrepreneurship at the University.

About The Entrepreneurs Society:

The Entrepreneurs Student Society at the University of York aims to inform, inspire, involve and support all students interested in enterprise, business and the associated skills.

About YuStart:

York is the first University to host its own crowdfunding website – enabling members of the University to get involved and raise money for projects, ideas and events from volunteering and sport to research.

Our YuStart platform connects people to passions. Encouraging the entrepreneurial, it helps projects to find funding to explore their interests and enhance our community.

About Careers Enterprise:

Enterprise is not just about business. Enterprise is a mindset, a set of skills and values that will help you deal with tricky situations and come out stronger, and on top. All of this applies to other areas of your life and work just as much as it would to a business setting.

Careers at The University of York can help you develop these skills and also provide practical support measures for those looking to start their own business whilst still studying or up to two years after graduation.
