Social and Political Sciences Seminar

On Friday 14 November 2014, Hugh Bayley MP will deliver an Open Lecture on Parliament and Peace: the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. This event is part of the University of York's SPS seminar series.

As part of Parliament’s commemoration of 100 years since World War One, Hugh Bayley will explore the UK Parliament’s role in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which since 1955 has provided a forum for members of Parliament from across the Atlantic Alliance to discuss and influence decisions on Alliance security.

Hugh Bayley MP was elected MP for York Central in April 1992 and is currently President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

There will be an opportunity for questions after the lecture.
