PUBlic Seminar

The University of York produces a huge range of research spanning from Nuclear Fusion to Facial Recognition.  The PUBlic Seminar gives PhD students and Post-Docs from the Faculty of Science an excellent opportunity to share their passion and expertise with a public audience over a drink in a local pub. The format is kept simple and informal to encourage as wide an audience as possible. Equations are banned! The talks are limited to ten minutes long with only three slides that contain no text, a real challenge for the presenter.

There are plenty of prizes to be won for asking questions and audience participation is strongly encouraged. At the end of the night the audience picks a winner for Best Talk so standards are high! Entry is kept free so please come down.

PhD and Post-Doc speakers from across the Faculty of Science
