Susanna Pell (Viols)
Susanna Pell studied music at The University of York and viol with Jordi Savall at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. She is a member of the highly acclaimed viol consort Fretwork and the medieval ensemble, The Dufay Collective. In Virelai Jacob Heringman and she are joined by William Lyons (flute) and Catherine King (voice) in performances focusing on music of the late medieval and early renaissance periods. With these groups she has toured throughout the world and made many recordings for TV, radio, disc and film. Susanna recently qualified as a teacher of the Alexander Technique.
Susanna plays in the York based Ciconia Ensemble with Anna Maria Friman, John Potter and Jacob Heringman.
