The music of Associate Lecturer Ann Cleare recieved its Israeli premiere on 7 May at Tel Aviv's Felcija Blumenthal Music Festival. The festival, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary, hosts composers and performers from around the world, with the aim of enriching the fields of classical and contemporary music in Israel.

Two pieces of Dr Cleare's music were presented: 'the square of yellow light that is your window', performed by ensemble Nikel, and 'I am not a clockmaker either' for accordion and electronics, performed by Krassimir Sterev, virtuoso accordionist of Klangforum Wien. The works were performed alongside the music of Chaya Czernowin and Enno Poppe.
