Dr Tim Wright Joins the Department of Music

The Department is pleased to welcome Tim Wright who will contribute to teaching on the MA Music Production and BA Music and Sound Recording programmes.

Tim is an accomplished electronic musician both as a studio artist and live performer, who has been active for over two decades. He has worked as a producer on many projects and has remixed Goldfrapp, Cristian Vogel and Hardfloor. His album Thirst was released on Novamute. For over ten years he has worked as composer and sound designer with Japan's foremost contemporary dance company Saburo Teshigawara's Karas. Tim has had a long association with the Department, having completed his MA in Music Technology here in 1993 and then returning to study for a PhD which was completed in 2013. He was a visiting lecturer in the Department last year, having previously given various workshops.
