Commissioned by the Aldeburgh Festival in 2015, Suckling's Visiones was premiered by Tamara Stefanovich (piano), Jean-Guihen Queyras (cello), and Mark Simpson (clarinet). It has subsequently been performed on tour by Dark Inventions as part of their 'From Score to Sound' project.
Martin Suckling takes up his Philip Leverhulme Prize in September, during which he will compose a Flute Concerto for Katherine Bryan and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and a new work for the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, among other projects.
