York's electroacoustic composers go on tour

Posted on 22 November 2016

Student and staff composers from the Department are presenting their work at concerts in Leeds and Sheffield this week.

The White Rose Electroacoustic Music was established by academics at the Universities of York, Leeds and Sheffield to promote the work of composers working with music technologies.

The 3*3 concert series takes three programmes, each curated by one of the Universities, and tours them to each city. Earlier this year 3*3 Sheffield was toured and now it is the turn of 3*3 York with 3*3 Leeds taking place in 2017.

Works by Radek Rudnicki, Ben Eyes, Jaiden Muschett, Michele Pizzi, Shu-Yu Lin, Adam Bonser and Lynette Quek can be heard in Leeds at 6pm on Wednesday 23rd November (http://concerts.leeds.ac.uk/events/3x3-electronic-music/) and in Sheffield, as part of their Sound Junction festival (https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/usss/soundjunction/sjnov2016). The programme will be presented in York in January 2017 (https://www.york.ac.uk/concerts/programme/33january/).
