York's Music Education Group work with Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment on 'Watercycle' project.

The Music Education Group committee were recently invited to attend a training day led by members of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Cherry Forbes and Cecelia Bruggemeyer, and composer James Redwood.
Held at the National Centre for Early Music
, the day was linked to the OAE's current education project, Watercycle –
making music about, inspired by, and to be performed on water – and focussed on materials produced specifically for this project, as well as general resources and teaching strategies to be used within music outreach workshops. This fantastic opportunity left the students who attended brimming with enthusiasm and full of new ideas to use in our own sessions in schools. MEG are now looking forward to assisting with the OAE's own Watercycle
workshops in York schools later this term.
